Growing healthy, missional churches in the PC(USA)

Purpose Driven Presbyterians Network

After adapting and utilizing the insights of the purpose-drivenŽ concept for several years, the pastors of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Satellite Beach invited other PCUSA leaders to learn of their discoveries at a continuing education seminar held at Columbia Theological Seminary. When the response exceeded expectations, they began a partnership with Purpose-DrivenŽ Ministries International, and created the annual Presbyterians Seeking Purpose-DrivenŽ Ministry Conference in Satellite Beach, Florida.

Along the way it became clear that hundreds of churches of varied size and context were adapting the purpose-drivenŽ model; and that Presbyterian leaders would benefit from knowing others making a similar transition into more effective ministry. Therefore, the “profit” yielded by Trinity’s annual conference is used to underwrite the cost of producing this website, which exists in order to:

1) Introduce Presbyterians to the ways that they can adapt the purpose-drivenŽ concept and

2) Link together PCUSA congregations in similar contexts for mutual encouragement.
